The Quay Community Centre

The Quay Community Centre opened in November 2013 and is a collaborative project between Quay residents, Mayo County Council and Westport Family and Community Resource Centre. The centre is located at the back of Springfield off Quay Road (opposite the entrance to the Westport Woods Hotel). It is a modern multipurpose building, with space for community projects, activities, meetings and events. Current activities include relaxation, chess, zumba, yoga, modern dance, tai chi, ballet, bingo, youth activities and a Parent and Toddler group. Please call 098 24879 or email quaycommunitycentre@gmail.com if you are interested in booking a room at the centre.
The Quay Community Garden

The Quay Community Garden is located beside the Quay Community Centre. The garden group usually meet from early spring until Autumn. The garden is a communal area where all sorts of vegetables are grown, including potatoes, lettuce, strawberries, blackberries, garlic, artichokes and peas. We have an active group of volunteers and more people are welcome. Produce is always shared among participants and any extra is shared with the community.
